Silly girl!

Olivia has a new fasination with wearing goggles. She has them on about 80% of the day. She just thinks she is so cool wearing them. It's pretty funny. Sometimes she will wear them on her face, around her neck, or even around her waste.

We started swim lessons with her a few weeks ago and she hadn't figured out that the goggles were to be worn while she was swimming until last week when she saw another kid wearing them in the pool. Her reaction to seeing him was really funny and since then she has been wanting to wear them when she swims.

Daddy's Home!!

Eric came home about a week ago and I'm just now posting the pictures! When Olivia first saw Eric it was almost as if she was dreaming, she kept on touching his shoulder and then saying "Daddy" as if she couldn't believe it was actually him. She did this for about 10-15 minutes, it was so funny! Once we got home Eric started Chasing Olivia around the house and she was laughing non-stop.

These are just a few of the pictures I took of Eric's homecoming. You can tell by the look on Olivia's face that she's not too sure what to think.

New Pictures of Olivia

How about Olivia?

Well, I have to say that I can already see there being some potential jealousy issues in the near future. We've talked to Olivia about Owen (Oweee as she would say) and she seemed ok with everything until we went shopping! We were at Target and I said to Olivia that I think we should pick out a blanket for Owen and she said "No blankie for Owee (OH-EEE) Ella (this is how she says Olivia) needs a blankie". Then I saw a cute shirt with trucks on it and said let's get this for Owen and her response was "Not for Owee for Ella"!! Too funny. I think she will adjust fine but I'm sure we will have some hiccups along the way.

Owen's Story

When Eric and I started the adoption process for our second child we fully intended on waiting up to three years for our referral. We knew what we were getting into and we knew that with Eric's Schedule it was probably for the best. That is until I laid eyes on Owen. I saw him for the first time on January 8th after calling our agency and asking them to send me their latest special needs list. I saw his big brown eyes, precious smile and his tongue sticking out of his mouth and I knew he was our son. It was the most amazing thing ever, just to look into his eyes (over the internet) and know that he was going to be our son. It was almost as if I had known him forever. The fact that Eric was able to be reached in the midst of his deployment was pretty incredible also. They had to make a quick pit stop in Hawaii and so I was able to talk to him about Owen and his response was "If you think he's our son then we need to bring him home!" Just like that we both knew. Everything else since then has just fallen into place. Let's home it continues. Let's hope Eric will be able to make the journey to China with us.

Here He Is!

Here are some of more pictures of Owen. We are all so excited and can't wait to meet our little guy and bring him home! We are hoping and praying that we can travel to China this May:) He sure is a handsome guy isn't he????
